Quietly at Home.

How one planter moves from the front door to the living room, and why Solace was made to.

As the days shorten, life moves indoors and the porch goes quiet. Most planters stay behind. Solace was designed to come with you. Its softly tapered silhouette and subtle textured finish look as considered beside a sofa as they do beside a front door, so the greenery you tended all season can keep you company through winter.

Same planter. New view.

01Meet Solace.

Solace is a tall, round planter with a gentle taper and a matte, lightly textured finish. It comes in three heights, 16", 22" and 28", and two finishes: Black, a deep modern neutral, and Chai, a soft, warm one. Designed in Canada and made from UV fade-resistant polypropylene, every piece is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

02Bringing it in, in four steps.

i.

Close the drain

Solace comes with drain plugs. Fit them before you bring the planter inside, and take them out again when it returns to the patio.

ii.

Use the tray

The removable planting tray lets you plant directly or rest a nursery pot on top. Indoors, a potted plant on the tray is simplest: no repotting, and easy to swap.

iii.

Follow the light

Place Solace within a few feet of a bright window. Most tropical foliage prefers bright, indirect light to harsh direct sun through glass.

iv.

Water with restraint

Indoor plants drink less in winter. Check the top inch of soil and water only once it feels dry.

03Where it lives.

The living room

Frame the view, not crowd it.

Pair a 22" and a 28" in Black beside a window. Palms and bird of paradise bring height, while the matte finish keeps the corner calm.

A welcome that reads intentional.

A pair either side of the door is classic for a reason. Layer heights in odd numbers, with the tallest closest to the frame.

From the front door to the fireside.

Under a roofline, Solace carries ornamental grasses well into fall. When the hard frost arrives, bring it in, or fill it with evergreen boughs for the season.
